Employment prospects and work on the construction of the base and offshore wind farms were discussed by representatives of investors at a meeting with the residents of Łeba and the surrounding area on March 19th.

Equinor and Polenergia have signed the final contracts for the detailed design and foundation engineering for the Bałtyk II and Bałtyk III projects. The development and engineering of the monopile foundations for both offshore wind projects located in the Baltic Sea will be prepared by Danish company Rambøll. These signed agreements mean another milestone in the project development has been completed, a project of major strategic importance to Poland’s energy security.

The Dutch company SIF Netherlands B.V. will produce 100 monopiles for both projects. By 2030, wind farms of close to 6 GW are to be built in the Baltic Sea. In the next 10 years, this capacity will increase to 11 GW. Among the planned investments are three projects jointly implemented by Poland's Polenergia and Norway's Equinor: MFW Bałtyk I, MFW Bałtyk II and the MFW Bałtyk III. Their combined capacity is 3 GW, and this will allow up to 6 million Polish households to be supplied with clean, renewable energy per year.
