The Regional Director for Environmental Protection (RDEP) in Gdańsk has issued a decision on environmental conditions for the connection infrastructure of the Bałtyk II and Bałtyk III offshore wind farms. The environmental approval is an important milestone and means that the projects developed jointly by Equinor and Polenergia can enter the next phase of implementation.

Equinor and Polenergia have selected Siemens Gamesa as the supplier of turbines for the Bałtyk II and Bałtyk III offshore wind farms. Energy companies have signed final contracts for the production, delivery, and service of 100 modern offshore wind turbines. The signed contracts are of key importance for the implementation of both projects in the Baltic Sea. The Bałtyk II and III offshore wind farms, with a total capacity of 1440 MW, will provide green energy for more than two million households. These investments are of strategic importance for Poland's energy security.

Almost one and a half thousand children from six primary schools in the Słupsk region take part in the educational project "One sea, many benefits. Offshore wind energy in my region". The organizers - Equinor and Polenergia - have planned interactive classes and an art competition with attractive prizes in schools.

Almost 120 works on offshore wind energy were created as part of an art competition organized by Equinor and Polenergia. The competition was the culmination of the education campaign "One sea, many benefits. Offshore wind energy in my region", which was attended by almost 1500 students from six primary schools in the Słupsk region. The final of the competition with prizes took place in the Lądowisko Kultury in Redzikowo near Słupsk.
